I am a molecular ecologist. I use a variety of genetic and genomic approaches to address questions in marine ecology and evolutionary biology such as the genetic and phenotypic impacts of management measures on wild and farmed populations, the evolution of reproductive systems, retracing introduction routes of invasive species, and the use of meta-genomics to study bentho-pelagic communities . I have to admit I have a big crush on marine invertebrates! The richness of their life history traits, biogeographic histories and ecological environnements encountered in this taxa makes it the best playground to investigate the role of neutral and adaptive processes in forging population and species evolution.
